To Plan, or Not To Plan...

I remember the proposal like it was just yesterday. I was so giddy and excited and immediately, thoughts of my wedding flooded my head. Where would we get married? Where would we have the ceremony? What style and color dress should I wear? Who will be my bridesmaids?!

Immediately, we start planning our weddings in our heads. Hell, we plan our weddings before they even pop the question. Some of us even have known what we wanted for our big day since we were little girls.

Here's the big question - DO I HIRE A WEDDING PLANNER, or can I do it myself?

Well, if you're like me and you're facing a tight budget, you will probably end up planning your wedding by yourself (with the help of your trusty bridesmaids, of course.)

Wedding Planning Tools

When planning a wedding, it is important to keep track of all of the different factors to consider, such as:

  • Guest List & Wedding Party

  • Venue & Vendor Quotes

  • Addresses & Contact Information for wedding invitations and RSVP follow-ups (best to sort this list by household... it makes it easier when it comes to mailing time)

  • Seating Chart (figure out # of people per table prior to putting this together)

  • Accomodations

  • Song Lists

  • Schedules

There are many handy online tools that can help you with this, like:
